DALLAS HUNTER JUMPER Scholarship Circuit

This scholarship has been established in memorial of Sidney Gibbons, who we tragically lost in May 2021. Sidney leaves behind a legacy as a dedicated trainer, a champion of all animals, and a loyal and caring friend. With her selfless attitude, abounding optimism, and unwavering work ethic, Sidney undoubtedly bettered the world and people around her. In honor of her lasting positive influence, this scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who echoes Sidney’s devotion to using her joys and passions to serve others. Each year a total of $1,000 will be awarded to each of up to two promising DHJSC high school seniors to assist with the costs of furthering their education.
Criteria:
–  Graduating Senior
–  Current Dallas Hunter Jumper Scholarship member
–  Plan to enroll in a two- or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school in
the 2023-2024 school year
–  3.0 or higher GPA Items to be Submitted:
–  Completed and signed scholarship application
–  Resume: please include all pertinent community involvement and volunteer information
–  Letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or counselor
–  Official or unofficial high school transcript
–  Essay (please limit to 500 words):
Describe how you hope to better the world around you in your own way.
